A year has passed...

Here, I am gonna announce the list of all the good things that has happened in my life during 2017.

Notes:

* I've watched bunch of good movies but can't remember properly so yeah i just put some of them.
* Ironically, I used to be a Book-Person but as you can see now I've only read four books for a year... Internet ruined my life to its fullest.
* Acquired my dream job as Content Creator in a most popular teenage-magazine, and as Supervisor in Fashion Retail Industry, But yet I didn't take both of them considering a few things (After people's persuasion-sales-pitch, It seems unfazed. When it comes to a job I should decide on my own right, this is nobody's meddling business. And I tried to stop being too hasty).

Good and Bad things happened, but I dont want to waste my time to start bitching about negative things here.. Remembering the bad would aggravate things and I merely do not want to drag around a same burden for the next year ahead. Nevertheless, this year has been full of joy and delightful moment and I cherish every detail about it.

November 2017

Bali will always be the sweetest escape. Here, I am gonna divided my stories into two sections, Tourist spots and Culinary.

      1. Tourist Spots

  • Uluwatu - Kecak Dance Performance
My very first time and it was worth the wait. The admission fee to enter the venue was only IDR 20,000 and then you have to pay more for only IDR 100,000 to watch kecak dance. The show started around six pm while the sun ready to set on the west. Believe me, it was such an intriguing experience.

  • Sundays Beach Club
Private Island? Hidden Paradise? That's what people called it. The admission fee was IDR 300,000 includes IDR 150,000 food and beverage credit.

Pro's:
- Clean Beach (Since not everyone can enter)
- They providing water Sports equipment (Kayaks, Snorkeling, Paddle Boards)
- They usually setting up the bonfire at night but unluckily it was raining at 5 when I was there :(
- Good place for sunbathing and also for honeymoon hmm

Con's:
- Pricey food, honestly IDR 150,000 will only get you one medium pizza and that's it. Lol.

Conclusion is, everything was okay. Pricey food was the only thing that bugs me.

  • Ubud Market
I wasn't planning to shop in Bali, so I didn't really enjoy here. They just selling some stuffs with high price. This isn't a place where you can being splurge as much as you want, I suggest.

  • Jimbaran Market
We went to this market and sought for fish, prawns, squid for dinner at Jimbaran Bay. I can't give any guidance about the price range since I rarely go to traditional market.

      2. Culinary

  • Seminyak Street - Motel Mexicola
It is a unique colorful cafe that served mexican food and alcohol with mexicali vibes.

Food              ★★★☆☆
Ambience      ★★★★★
Service          ★★★★☆

  • Seminyak Street - Mad Pops
One thing led to another, no one can resist dessert after having a meal. We were just greedily agreed to stopped by here and bought some scoop of ice cream.

Food              ★★★★★
Ambience      ★★★★☆
Service          ★★★★★

  • Nook
We came here because my friend were suggesting this place and we didn't regret it. We have lunch with greeeeennn rice field view and it was genuinely nice.

Food              ★★★★☆
Ambience      ★★★★★
Service          ★★★★★

Basically, I love how korean know how to apply no-make-up-make-up-look properly.

And I am a fan of red color for lipstick, but red is too bright for daily make-up. For some people, it is inappropriate to wear bold-red lipstick to work.

It depends on your occasion, if you work in beauty industry they will appreciate your color shades.
But if you want to have a meeting with client, red isn't a right choice. (Again I repeat, It depends on your work-environment). Because it happened to me once, when I had an unexpected meeting with a client and My boss asked me to change my red lipstick with a natural one, like pink or nude color. He thought (Yes, My Boss is a "He" who cares enough with appearance) red was too vivid.

So, how to apply a little bit red on your lips without any-bad-impression of visualising?
Try to wear liptint instead. I tried several korean liptint brand lately, So I am gonna spell out here...

  • Innisfree - Eco Fruit Tint (Cherry)
It's watery, and will give you a bit natural light shades, glossy and shiny. But not last longer than 30-45 minutes nor after you eat. You need to apply it over and over again.

Shades             ★★☆☆☆
Moisture          ★★★☆☆
Longevity        ★★☆☆☆

  • Tony Moly - Tint Delight (Shades 02)
The most popular liptint among korean girls. This is my daily liptint. Pigmented, Bold and bright! But you need to be careful to apply this. One rub on your bottom lip and then starts to blend with
your upper lip, because it'll dry easily.

Shades             ★★★★☆
Moisture          ★★★☆☆
Longevity        ★★★★☆

  • Tony Moly - Liptone Get it Tint (Shades 08)
The packaging is so cute, it is a pantone theme! At first I thought the color would be sooo reddd
but it turned out pink. It stains for a while but when I eat something greasy, everything is gone.

Shades             ★★★☆☆
Moisture          ★★★☆☆
Longevity        ★★★☆☆

  • Etude - Dear Darling (Cherry Red)
Natural and sheer, the color not too bright, and wear off easily. It looks kind of transparent on the
lips but still has pretty pinkish red color.

Shades             ★★★☆☆
Moisture          ★★★★☆
 Longevity        ★★★☆☆

  • The Saemmul - Real Gel Tint (Burgundy)
This one is also pigmented and longlasting but it'll leaves stains on your lip. Don't make it to be messy as it is hard to clean up. Dont apply it fully on your lip.

Shades             ★★★★★
Moisture          ★★★★☆
Longevity        ★★★★★

  • Peri Pera - Ink (02 Get the eye)
I love the gradient after you apply and blend it on your lip. It is not too bright nor too soft. The color is pink and red undertones.

Shades             ★★★★★
Moisture          ★★★★☆
Longevity        ★★★☆☆

Picture 1: Lip tint Swatch

So, it depends on you. If you like natural-look, try innisfree eco fruit tint and etude dear darling instead, when you can applied on your fully lip. My choice goes to tonymoly delight tin and The saemmul real gel tint!

September 2017

It was around july that me and my friend suddenly had the urge to plan a weekend-getaway.
What kind of place that not far, nor so near from Jakarta and have so many tourist attractions? Hmmmm yes, Singapore! It was a quick decision that we made, without a second thought.
We were planning to go to Singapore for only three days, and started to book flight and hotel.

That day, we commenced list the itinerary, wasting time just wandering around without having a plan is a NO. Since it was only three days, we're gonna maximize time as much as we can to explore various tourists spots. Places to go, things to do, what food to try, how to get there, and so on.

Picture 1: Such a thrilling ride at USS.

Day 1

We left our baggage at Hotel and then headed to our first destination, Little India by Bus. The transportation in Singapore was very easy. You can download Singapore Maps from your smartphone. From that app, you can easily type your location and your destination. They will give you 4 options to get there: By Walk, Taxi, MRT, Bus. I chose Bus, because MRT is very confusing and I don't want to spend more time unnecessarily thinking, I was lazy as that. With Bus, the app inform you which stop and which number of bus you should take. You can also buy and top-up the metro card (picture as below) in convenient store. Just tap your metro card and the bus will take you to the places! Just paid-lah! (Singapore's tagline transportation, lol).

Scrolled around The Little India, taking a shot at popular-colorful-window. Little India was beautiful it was like city in a city. You really felt like you were in India (Despite the fact that I've never been there though).

Spotted a bunch of typical India Store that sells some materials that Hinduism use for pray: Agarwood, Alta, Camphor, Charu, Ghee, Incense, Kumkuma, Marigold, Panchagavya, Rudraksha, Sandalwood, Sindoor, Soma, Tulasi, Turmetic, Vibhuti, and also Flowers.

After having Nasi Lemak for Lunch, Next Stop was Haji Lane. Everybody knows about Haji Lane, it is quite popular as the hippiest neighbourhood in Singapore. The lane surrounding with cool cafes and resto with an artistic-quirky-mural on every wall. I might say everycorner is instagram-worthy.

Picture 6: Piedra Negra Cafe.

Picture 7: Whimsical yet so cool kinda art.

Day 2

Alright, the second day we went to Universal Studio Singapore in the morning. We took bus number 132 from Stevens Road, after fifteen stops later alight at Henderson Road, we changed the bus into number 145 and then eight stops later alight at Telok Blangah. Walked from there to Vivo City Mall. From Vivo City Mall, we can easily take monorail to go to USS. I suggest you to buy a ticket online instead of on the spot because it is quite saving your time from a long queuing. We bought the USS ticket from website, it was around 81 SGD/person.

Luckily it was such a bright day, we soaked by the sun. And not getting tired even a bit, after rode some attractions that triggered me, we have lunch at Vivo Mall. The next destination was Garden by The bay. We also bought the tickets by online for only 30 SGD/person for two attractions: Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. Ugh I love Cloud Forest! The architecture is really astonishing and surronded by diverse plants and floral with a bizarre-scenery.

The rute scheme here was confusing, you cannot turn back after you took a straight way ahead. The funny story is I left my Jacket at Cloud-Gallery on the third floor, So I have to go downstairs and then up again circling the same path hahaha. Lesson learned guys, being clumsy is such a troublesome.

Picture 8: Miniiioooonnnn!

Picture 9: Sesame Streeeeeet!

Picture 10: We rode this twice hahaha.

Picture 11: Taken from 3rd floor of Cloud Forest.

Picture 12: Cactus at Flower Dome.

Day 3

It was finally Sunday, we're going back to Jakarta. Both my feet are really hurts because we have two destinations in a row on a second day :(

Singapore has so many tourist spots that we couldn't visit, but after all...

  • My favorite goes to Garden by the Bay Cloud Forest!
  • Haji Lane is overrated.

Well, Three days vacation wasn't enough but having a fun weekend could refresh your mind to get back to work, though!

Highlights of My Birthday

Three things why I got too excited when it comes to Birthday:

First, Everybody remember you!
You wake up in the morning with bunch of notifications on your phone, they pray for you, they send you a lot of sweet wishes. Relishing the loving notes from family and friends. Everybody loves you. We secretly feel so special in this moment.

Second, Surronded by the people you loved.
It prompts us to get together with our family, friends, and also your loved one.

Third, Handwritten wishes and a gift is a bonus.
Don't you love it when someone care enough to spend a little time just to think what kind of a gift that you're gonna love, what kind of things that they should write on your birthday-greeting card? They spend a little time just to make you happy.

This year is a bless.

April 2017

Spring will always be my favorite weather. The reason is pretty clear, after a long cold months of winter, spring is a breath of fresh air. We can feel the sun but it didn't get you sunburn, it's still windy and mild. The flowers will bloom, promising a new hope.

Speaking of Spring, I went to South Korea this year. Well it was honestly a business trip, but I stole time anyway. My boss sent me to Korea to attend some meeting, workshop, and Korea Beauty Exhibition in Suwon for two days. But I stayed for three days in Seoul, So I got a looongg freetimeee!

Korea was never be on my bucket list, it is always Japan that wins my heart all the time. Because of my job, I just instantly went to Korea which i should be more thankful and stop raving about it lol.

What Do I Prepare Before I go:

  • No, I didn't bothered that much to acquired my VISA because my office takes care of all the documents. And since we got the invitation letter from Korean Broadcasting System, it was so easy to get the VISA.
  • Meeting Agenda. I have several meeting there with KBS K-Beauty Team, Bandi Team, and some guy that related to Korean Government which i don't know who.
  • Outfit Plan Trip. Spring is tricky, it is hot yet so cold. Hence, I brought four pieces of Coats, Two pieces of turtleneck, Stoking and shocks, and several comfy shoes as well.
  • The list of places to go. I arranged the schedule to maximize time whenever I got a spare time.
  • Health. Well this is very important, prepare the medicine because you'll waste so many energy in your trip.
  • Bring extra bag. Believe me, you will brings lots of things when you go home rather than when you leave.
Here is the story...

It was around end of April I arrived at Seoul. It was so windy at noon and still freaking cold at evening, the current temperature is 10 degrees. We took shuttle bus from Incheon and headed to Shilla Stay Hotel in Gangnam.

Picture 1: Highlight of Gangnam-gu Alley near to my Hotel.

Here are the pictures that I took and The places that I've visited:

  • The flight (Soekarno Hatta Int Airport to Incheon Int Airport)

Picture 2: Spent seven hours in a plane, I just watched and watched and Slept.

Picture 3: Dinner Options are Bibimbap and Chicken Curry Rice, I chose Curry-rice since I am not a fan of Korean food.

  • Seokchon Lake Park
It's located in Songpa 1il-dong. It is one of a place where people come to see the cherry blossom festival event on early to mid-April when cherry blossoms beautifully embroider the city. Unfortunately, I came at the end of April, all the cherry blossom is gone.

Picture 4: The most tallest skyscraper in Seoul, Lotte World Tower. It is a 123-floor.

Picture 5: Signage at Songpa-daero.

  • Commonground
It is located in 17-1 Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu. It's a pop-up store built with containers. This place is known to be a hangout place for students.

Pros:
- Instagram-Worthy
- No mainstream brand, Hipster atmosphere.
- Various events held by young korean.

Cons:
- Pricey clothes, pricey food.
- The place is quite far from Gangnam (Where I stay).

Picture 6: Commonground from third floor's perspective.

  • KBS-Suwon Drama Set
I went to Korean Broadcasting System in Suwon to attend the meeting with K-Beauty Academy and took make-up class. The people are so warm and nice, they served us breakfast and having lunch in a picnic-korean way at park. In addition, They also invited me to KBS-Drama Set.

Located in 161 Sajikro, Sejongno, Jongno-gu. This is main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty. Admission fee for International visitor is only 3,000 Won. If you guys a traditional-museum-dork, this should be on your list.
